The two photos below are of a Canadian National freight train going through Gilman.
This is a train made up of mostly potash (pronounced pot-ash) hoppers.
Potash is a salt containing water-soluble potassium.
This photo is of an old Illinois Central snowplow that looked like it had been just sitting for a while.
The next day, we were in Lincoln, Illinois, and my Dad took these pictures of the Amtrak Lincoln Service train.
And two hoppers coupled together.
