Trains!!!

Last week we went to Gilman, Illinois for the day. While we were there, my Dad took some photos of trains that were in Gilman that day.

The two photos below are of a Canadian National freight train going through Gilman.

This is a train made up of mostly potash (pronounced pot-ash) hoppers.
Potash is a salt containing water-soluble potassium.

This photo is of an old Illinois Central snowplow that looked like it had been just sitting for a while.

The next day, we were in Lincoln, Illinois, and my Dad took these pictures of the Amtrak Lincoln Service train.

And two hoppers coupled together.
